Pranav Kumar Singh directed Hindi Bollywood political thriller movie has released in theaters with slow start over box office. Critics has rated movie with slow start with some negative views for direction of the movie. The movie opened its first day at box office with dull start of having just 5 to 9% occupancy over theaters by audience. The controversy which was made before the release of the movie couldn’t help to make big at theaters.
The movie has collected around 40 lakh on its opening day at box office with low occupancy. As movie moves to its second day, makers are expecting that movie will show some growth in occupancy and collection from its first day. The other reason of low collection is due to Hollywood release “The Legend of Tarzan” which has given a tough competition to other release of 1st July 2016.
The story of the movie revolves around political drama that take place in Uttar Pradesh. It is love story of a Hindu boy and Muslim girl which results into a political religion fuss between parties for their own vote bank.
The movie has also faced decline as movie is not released in UP due to fear of riots doesn’t break out. Despite of facing negative conditions from UP, movie has manged to collect some positive reviews for projecting story line based on such topic with some flaws.
Riot fears keep Shorgul off screens in western UP. How about then keeping the netas who stir riots also off limits?
